My second piece for FRAMED is inspired by my lovely sister, who modeled the faces on the piece. I chose the specific candy wrappers to compliment the Halloween color scheme. Expect more spooky pieces the closer the best holiday in the world gets.
I have chosen FRAMED as my AP Art concentration. Each piece will be framed, in one way or another. For the first piece(s), I made a three part self portrait, where each frame acts as a foreshadowing of what is next to come. I’m really happy with the mixed styles and media I used, and I’m pumped for more FRAMED pieces!
For this Summer assignment, we had to create a still life with “two uncracked eggs, a tomato and an orange, all on a towel.” I cut my orange in half to add some more interest to the piece, and used a cherry tomato for size diversity. I also did it all with a black colored pencil. I’m extremely pleased with the result.
